Decembershows Canceled

We are sorry to announce that due to health-reasons we have to cancel the shows in Münster, Halle and Hannover. Seems like this year Black Everest is kind of cursed. 

Years past – Memories last

Due to personal commitments Black Everest has to part ways with our friend and bandmember Andi. It’s been 8 years now since we met in a shitty rehearsal-room in Aurich and started our first band. Dozens of shows, hundreds of rehearsals and thousands of common driven miles will forever connect us. Many many thanks to Andi for those memories and uncountable moments of laughing, joy and passion.

This December we will play three last shows with him on our side, please make sure to visit one of the dates listed below:

09.12.12 –Hannover @ Practiceroom of Lafftrak

As a band we decided to continue Black Everest. For now there will be no replacement for Andi or something else like that. We all hope that he is able to come back at some point in the future. Black Everest is and was always about four close friends playing heavy music while they’re having a good time. Now the three of us will write new material in January and see how everything turns out.

Upcoming Shows / Split LP out in September

Yes, we are slow. Yes, we are very slow...
After weeks of waiting we were finally able to send everything needed to the pressingplant, so the split LP with Captain Your Ship Is Sinking will be released in September 2012. CYSIS already broke up, but since these guys are some of the nicest persons we met, we decided to hold on the idea of a split.
The artwork was done by Mara Picone. There will be two vinylcolors. One color will be available through our labels in Europe and Russia, the other one by our labels in the US.
To accomplish enough space for the great artwork, we choose gatefold jackets. The record will feature 4 "new" Black Everest songs, which just got mastered by Eric Skyt who lately did a great job on the new Reka songs which are released on a split LP with In The Hearts Of Emperors on Moment Of Collapse Records.
By the way, we have 3 upcoming shows with Reka in September. These are our first shows in a long while and we are looking forward to meet you here:

Black Everest is working on new Songs, which should be recorded in Febraury 2013. Those tunes should be released before we'll leave for a tour in April 2013. If everything works out, this tour will bring us as far away from home as we've never been before. Details will be announced as soon as everything is official. Fingers crossed. Beside this we'll try to play a couple of festivals and weekendtours.

Finally

Believe it or not, but our split with CYSIS is finally going to happen. Mara just did send the artwork which is amazing. She did a great job and we thank her for creating such a beauty. Songs are getting mastered right now, so the record shall be send to the preesingplant very very soon.

Beside this we are still working on new songs, which we still have to decide how they shall be released. We'll be playing a show in Hamburg with Suchi Rukara by the end of july. More info's will follow. For 2013 we hope to be more active and play more shows.

Our Tubes Are Glowing Again

Finally back together again. Last weekend we had the first rehearsals in nearly 4 months. A lot happened and will change the future of Black Everest. All we know at this point is that we are 4 close friends that love to create music together and spend a great time while doing this.
We are from now on based in our new rehearsalroom in Hamburg and it seems that the new industrial environment had a kind of impact on our songwriting. 3 days aside from sunlight, locked in a cold shelter, we droped the tunings of our guitars and wrote almost two new songs. Those tunes start where the last song we wrote for the split LP with "Captain, Your Ship Is Sinking" ended. The final master of the recordings for that split shall arrive us during this week. Sorry for all the delays, but if you handle all on your own and with the help of good good friends without financiel adjustments you have to be patient.

Along these lines, may those lights never be dead.
